MDC Virtual Christmas Recital
Dear Parents,
We have found a gym to perform at for our LIVE VIDEO Christmas recital. We will hold our Virtual recital at the Powerhouse gym in Roy.
VIRTUAL RECITAL Saturday December, 19th 2020Powerhouse Gym5385 1950 W StRoy, UT 84067 Drop off dancers at 11:00AM. Teachers and staff will be at the door to take dancers to performance area, all dancers will remain inside the gym WITH MASKS on until they perform. When it is their class time they can remove masks while onstage performing. We are so excited they are able to perform live in front of all the other dancers as an audience. One parent is allowed to stay with dancer age 4 years and younger ONLY (Mask required).
Virtual live video will start at 12:00PM. We will post the link on our website and all social media pages for anyone to view! Invite grandparents, friends, and family members to enjoy the show! The performance schedule will be posted prior to viewing. Each class will be announced prior to their performance as well as the on deck class so you do not miss your favorite dancers. A recording of the show will also be available for purchase.
Pick up will be at 2:00PM at the Powerhouse gym. Staff will bring dancers out to your cars as you arrive. We will try and keep it moving as smoothly as possible to get dancers in and out of the gym safely.
We have to charge a small recital fee of $10 per dancer to help cover the costs of the gym rental, technical fee’s, and staffing fee’s for the show. Due on recital day by Venmo or PayPal.
Hair and make up for the show:
Double french braids with hair colored clear rubber bands (NO bows or ribbons): Hairstyle tutorial. Make up will be blush, Maroon/wine colored lipstick (I would suggest stain proof due to masks), mascara(5 years and up): Make Up tutorial. These tutorials can always be found on our YouTube page
Shoes for Recital:Ballet, Ballet/Jazz 1, Mini’s/Pre School dance- PINK Ballet Jazz, Diva’s, Elate- TAN Gore BootsHip Hop, Edge- ALL BLACK tennis shoes (any brand/any style)Arabic- BarefootCompetition Team- Tan Half soles
Dress rehearsals in classes December 7th-10th. Dancers with tuition and costume fee’s paid in full will bring home costumes after class. Make sure to have recital shoes for this practice. We thank you for adjusting with us due to the current circumstances and hope to make it a special experience for our dancers that have been working hard for this performance.
Christmas Break at MDC NO CLASSES December 24th- January 3rd.
