Competition Solo information

Eligibility-
two out of three splits completely flat.
Two out of three Tumble moves solid and clean includes Ariel/front Ariel, backhand spring, back walk over/front walk over, tuck/whip.
solid double pirouette right and left.

Timeline-
Start learning routines in summer.
Required classes during summer –
Wednesday AM classes with Ricci & or Ballet 2/3 with Kristen & or Tricks with Korbin .
Required Classes in Fall-
Once a week private and once a week group at the start of fall schedule. One Ballet and one technique class weekly during fall. Highly recommend tumbling class.
Competitions start February/March and go until May/June.
You are required to attend 4 competitions annually.

Fees-
Choreography due upfront does not include private lessons $250
Private lessons $25 hr $20 45 minutes. Group lessons hour $10 4 or less dancers $5 5 or more.
Outside Judges-$20
Costume fees- you choose & design $65-$200
Music editing – $25
Competition fees- average $80-$100
This is a full-time commitment for dancers and a financial commitment for parents. Dancers are required to practice 30 minutes to 1 hour per day during competition season.

You are also welcome to use any of the teachers at MDC for choreography and private lessons, each teacher has individual competitive rates.
